BioHey there LiveJournalers of the big wide world, how goes it?
My name's Susie, I'm 22 and I'm from the South West area of Sydney (that's in Australia, for those of you playing at home). This journal began 3 1/2 years ago as part of a uni assignment, and since that finished last year, I've been a bit absent from LiveJournal. But, I have returned, triumphant after completing all my required units, about to embark upon the great adventure that will be the last stretch of my degree - a 10-week internship at the local high school, teaching English to disaffected, but enthusiastic, teenage girls. I can't wait.
In other news, I recently got married and my new husband, Simon, and I are enjoying the first few months of wedded bliss. We spend out time together playing PS3, watching the X-Files on DVD, listening to Triple J, and dreaming of a place of our own. When I'm on my own, I listen to punk and alternative rock - my favourite bands at the moment are Children Collide, Birds of Tokyo, Karnivool and Closure in Moscow. I also read a lot, being an English teacher, and I write short fiction stories when I can find spare time. To keep me sane in this crazy world, I also dance, but on a purely non-serious level. And to fund all these interests, I work at the local chemist, but I hope to be a full-time teacher by Term 4 (NSW DET, if your watching, please take note).
And that's pretty much it for the background stuff. On with the LiveJournal experience...
